PROFESSIONAL TRAININGS & SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS

IMG_3705Art with Heart is available to conduct trainings for therapists, mental health workers, educators or parents. The trainings range from 6 hours to 1.5 days and include hands-on activities from the Chill & Spill books to help participants gain comfort and knowledge in bringing the expressive arts to youth in their care.

Art with Heart is also available to speak at your event or conferences, or visit your school to discuss the books with children or their parents. Subjects include, but aren’t limited to:

Chill & Spill:

  • Chill & Spill Basics: Bringing Creativity to the Classroom (for educators)
  • Chill & Spill Intensive: Using the Expressive Arts to Heal (for therapists)
  • Using Chill & Spill to Help Address Teen Issues
  • Managing the Aftermath of School Crisis
  • Recruiting & Facilitating Counseling Groups for Middle and High School
  • Recognizing the Effects of Stress on Adolescents
  • Teens and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

Oodles of Doodles / Magnificent Marvelous Me:

  • Helping the Hospitalized Child through Therapeutic Activities
  • The Effect of Serious Illness on Siblings

  • Using Your Creative Power for Good
  • Healing Through Creativity

We are happy to discuss your specific requirements and advise on a workshop program to suit your needs. We are available to travel to locations outside of King County for larger groups. Please note that there are speaker fees and travel/accommodation costs associated with this service. Workshops can be tailored to the needs of your audience and provided on request at locations across North America, depending upon your budget.
