Draw it Out Training

Join us for a one-day training which provides a road map

for using Draw it Out, a therapeutic tool for children coping with grief and loss.


draw-it-out-trainingThis course prepares participants to help grieving children using the Draw it Out therapeutic workbook as their guide. At the end of the training, participants will:

– Understand best practices for utilizing creative expression with elementary-aged children experiencing grief.
– Gain hands-on artistic experiences in a variety of media including tips and tricks for increasing confidence in drawing, watercoloring, collage, and mixed media.
– Learn about the theories, structure, and flow of the Draw it Out workbook and the Draw it Out Leader’s Companion, a curriculum to support programmatic use.

Who should attend: Open to all school counselors, bereavement professionals, social workers, child life specialists, and others interested in using creative expression to support grieving kids.

7 Continuing Education Units and 6.5 Clock Hours will be available for this training.
