• May 24: Art with Heart will present at the 26th Annual Child Life Council Conference on Professional Issues in San Diego. The title of the presentation will be What about me? Supporting The Siblings Of Seriously Ill Or Disabled Children and is presented by Annie McCall, M.A., L.M.H.C.

• Sat., June 7 from 9:30am-1:00pm: Are you an artist, writer or graphic designer in Seattle who loves kids and wants to use your talent to make a difference? Join us for our monthly Art Buddy training to learn how to work with and positively impact a youth through your creative talents! At the workshop, you will learn how to use Chill & Spill to engage your “Little Buddy” in a structured journey of discovery. You will learn skills that will make you a better listener and get some hands-on time practicing. The training is free, but please consider helping us with a small donation to cover supplies and food. For more information, to RSVP or get directions, write to us at info@artwithheart.org.

• Tue., June 10 from 5-7:30pm: Art with Heart Happy Hour & Book Release Party! After 1-1/2 years in development, Art with Heart’s newest book is finally done! Magnificent Marvelous Me! recognizes the emotional needs of children with siblings affected by a serious illness or disability. Through the first printing of this book, Art with Heart will be able to help 5,000 children in crisis.

Please join us in raising a glass and honoring those in our community who helped make this book project possible: ColorGraphics and Sappi Fine Paper North America, 47 Artists from around the world and 16 therapists from: Providence Hospice, Sibshops, Children’s Hospital, the Healing Center, REACH, Dougy Center, SuperSibs, Camp Erin (Boise) and Starlight Starbright.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Wine and cheese will be served. We will also have “Such a Silly Baby” books available for purchase and a portion of the proceeds benefit youth in crisis.

• Thursday, Oct. 16: Save the Date for the 2nd annual Color of Hope Fundraising Breakfast, at the Sheraton, downtown Seattle

• Oct. 31: Art with Heart will present at the Casey Family Service’s “It’s My Life” 2008 Conference in Hollywood, CA. The tile of the presentation is Art Buddy: Using the Expressive Arts to Heal and is presented by Annie McCall, M.A., L.M.H.C.

• November 5: Chill & Spill Conference will take place at Morning Star Boy’s Ranch in Spokane, WA. More details about this full-day conference to come!
