Art with Heart was invited to participate in the Association of Pediatric Oncology Social Worker’s national conference this year. This year’s conference was held in the beautiful city of Memphis late April.

Annie McCall, M.A., LMHC (our trainer) spoke on how social workers can support the siblings of seriously ill children. In her talk, she highlighted the conflicting evidence around sibling issues, five common sib profiles, the implications for intervention as well as Art with Heart’s intervention tools. She also led the participants in a hands-on activity from Chill & Spill to give them a “taste” of the effectiveness of Art with Heart’s programs.

As evidenced by the wonderful comments from attendees who visited our booth, this was a topic of great interest and people were very excited to find out about the availability of these resources.

Next stop will be Boston at the national Child Life Conference!
